TB Dressage 2nd Round 2019

Dear Competitor,

Some information for the Trailblazers second round that will help the event run smoothly.

Vaccinations and Qualifying cards

  1. Vaccinations will be required and should be brought to the Secretary BEFORE you unload. A reminder that you must have had at least 2 correctly administered flu vaccinations and the last one must be more than 7 days from the 28th April. We do not require (but do advise) a 6 monthly booster schedule.
  2. Qualification cards MUST be produced at the same time

Regarding the times – we are of course aware that there is a fair delay between some classes. Whilst we had requests for early in this and late in that class, they have been done to be fair to all. Your relative position in the class will be the same as your fellow competitors.

Running matters

This is, as always, a self stewarding event. We request that you enter the arena at your time following on from the competitor before you. We would also ask that if you bring help you ask them to clear up any manure from the indoor arena should your horse make a mess.

We have had a couple of requests for callers – this is not something we can offer so please make sure you make your own arrangements.

Numbers to Qualify / Snr & Jnr

The number to qualify from Intro (Junior only), Prelim, Novice and Elementary depends on the actual starters in the competition.

Up to 25 – 6 will qualify, which will be the case in all our level.

PLEASE make sure you are in the correct section now as it is not possible to change once the results are published.

Equine Flu – Information for 15-17 Feb Dressage

In light of the current situation in respect of equine flu we wish to inform all competitors of the procedures we are putting in place this weekend.

  1. All competitors must declare at the show office prior to unloading their horses.
  2. They must present the passport for their horse for inspection
  3. Flu vaccinations must be up to date
  4. Latest vaccine DOES NOT need to be within 6 months of the show date
  5. Latest vaccine MUST NOT be within 7 days

This information is based on best practise advised by British Dressage and in conjunction with our vets.

It is essential that you are aware; any horse not complying with this requirement will be unable to compete at the venue and there will be no transfer, credit or refund offered.

These requirements are from British Dressage – the basis of these have been part of their rules for a considerable period of time. They are also specifically detailed in our general rules covering shows and events – a copy of which may be found here. We have updated this document to highlight the section particularly relevant at present.

Information for 20/21/22 April 2018 Dressage

Due to delays in the renovation we are afraid there will continue to be no refreshments at Kingswood.

We sincerely apologise for this – due to the extended drying time required for the floor.

Bike 4 Life

The annual charity Bike4Life event will be taking place on the 22nd April terminating at RAF Cosford.

The route will take bikers eastbound on the M54 from Shrewsbury.

We strongly advise all competitors to allow plenty of extra time to arrive at the centre taking into account any local road closures.

It is impossible to find much information out on the internet about this, however, we are aware that Junction 3 West bound will be closed.

We also believe that the M54 east bound will be affected.

Alternative routes are available on the A5 or via the A449 -> A41 Wolverhampton.

!!Trailblazers Bridle Numbers

As per our previous announcements some months ago, 1st April marked the beginning of our requirement to wear bridle or saddle numbers in Trailblazers dressage competitions.

A 2 mark penalty will be suffered should you fail to have at least 1 number on your horse in competition.

You may purchase these at Equitain – however we only have limited stocks remaining.

Trailblazers Qualification Cards

Please remember you MUST bring these as proof of qualification.

Bring these to the event with you on Sunday!
