General Show Rules
- Kingswood Equestrian Centre (know as "The Centre") will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to person, animal or property whilst at the centre
- All health and safety notices must be obeyed
- At no time will clients tie horses to the outside of transporter unless directly supervised
- Use of the centre facilities is conditional on the client being of a safe recreational standard of riding and being in posession and wearing the correct personal safety equipment
- The Centre is a private property and as such the rights of admission are reserved under all circumstances
- Abuse of animals or people whilst on the centre will not be tolorated and offending persons will immediately be asked to leave
- The Centre operates a zero tolerance policy on criminal acts or abuse either against the person, animal or The Centre property
- Attendance at a show or event does not include rights of admission to the entire centre
- All entries are final and none-refundable

BSJA Specific Rules

- All exhibitors and competitors are-particularly advised to read these rules and conditions carefully. Entries will only be accepted and competitors allowed to compete on the clear understanding that they agree to comply with and be bound by these rules and conditions.
- Entries in all classes are confined to horses and ponies registered with the BSJA rule 79. No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, servants or horses in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising there from.
- The decision of the judges will be final. If any person lodges an objection, such objection must be made in writing to the secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, together with a deposit of £100 to be returned if the objection is upheld.
- The organisers retain the right to refuse any entry, or to amend the details of the schedule if the instances of the program require and to cancel any class with insufficient entries.
- Failure to exhibit any animal entered will entail forfeiture of entry fees, other than in accordance with BSJA rule 79.4.
- The organisers reserve the right to remove any vehicle or chattels which are obstructing any access to or on the showground even if locked, secured, unattended and braked and they will not be liable for any injury, loss damage etc.
- Any competitor found schooling in the rings without permission will be disqualified from the show and reported to the BSJA.
- The organisers may in any dispute or any other matter act or decide in any manner they think fit.
- Any competitor occupying a stable not reserved and paid for will be reported to the BSJA and will forfeit any prize money which they may have won at the show.
- No motorcycles of any description allowed on the showground.
- It is a requirement for your BSJA numbers for horses, riders, owners to be filled out on your entry form
- No refund on stables without vets certificate or doctors note which must be received 5 working days prior to the first day of the show.
- Stable bookings must be made and paid for in advance.
- Signature by the person making the entries shall be deemed to be an acceptance of the conditions herein contained in this schedule.
- BSJA rule 82.21 no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessees, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public ate not at risk of injury. Stallions will be stabled in permanent stables away from other horses. Failure to book a stallion box for any stallion competing at the show will result in a fine of £500; members responsible for stallions will be reported to the BSJA for breach of this rule.
- Collecting ring etiquette must be adhered to at all times, for Health & Safety purposes please see rules at warm up entrance
- Failure to present for a prize either mounted or otherwise without a valid reason will result in that prize being forfeit. If the class is sponsored then mounted prize giving is required regardless of circumstance
- In the event of insufficient starters BSJA Rule 76.6 and 76.6.1 will apply.
- Pre-entry fees payable are non-refundable
- Correct riding attire must be worn in accordance with BSJA Rules 101.3, 101.4 and 267.
- Submission of entry indicates that the competitor gives the absolute right and permission for any photograph and/or film, video or TV footage taken of himself and horse competing to be used an published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising.

- Entries changed before the official closing date will be credited.
- The organisers reserve the right to alter the order of the classes if required for the running of the show.

Trailblazers Dressage Rules
CLASSES TO BE RUN AT THE FOLLOWING LEVELS: PRELIMINARY, NOVICE AND ELEMENTARY. In both Junior and Senior.
STALLIONS will only be permitted to compete if they are deemed under control. This decision is final and that of the organiser.
JUNIORS riding ponies/horses up to 16 years of age and not to have attained their 17th birthday on the day of the Championship. (In the case of dispute, birth certificates may be called for).
QUALIFICATION
Qualification will be on class percentage with all tests at 58% and over gaining qualification at that level in first rounds. In the event of a partnership ceasing the qualification ceases. Only qualified partnerships from the second round to compete at the Championships.
RULE CHANGE - for 2007/2008 series.
Horses that are currently registered with BD or horses that have been registered within the preceding 12 months will not be allowed to compete at Preliminary level with any BD points, Novice level with more than 60 points or Elementary level with more than 100 points. Should a horse be downgraded by BD, the points awarded will be accepted by Trailblazers.
Though any rider may elect to ride HC.
Dress
- Hats To be worn to BD standard
- Boots Long or short, gaiters or chaps permitted that match boots. No fringes
- Jodhpurs/breeches Light colour
- Jackets Hacking / Black / Navy
- Shirts Plain colour with collar. Tie or stock where appropriate.
- Gloves Must be worn. (2 mark penalty if not worn)
- Spurs Optional - to be metal, worn correctly (curved down) and not too severe.
- Whip Optional (excessive use prohibited)
- Body Protector Optional - over or under jacket
Tack
- Saddle English or Continental style
- Bridle Recognised snaffle only. Double bridle allowed at Elementary.
- Noseband Obligatory - cavesson, drop or flash permitted.
- Neck strap or breastplate Permitted
Prohibited Tack
Martingales, bearing / side / running reins, blinkers.
Sheepskin seat covers, boots and bandages.
No other gadgets or aids are permitted.
